Terms of Use (EULA)

These Terms of Use (the “Terms”) are a legal agreement between you and cuboo (“cuboo”, “we”, “us”) governing your use of the cuboo app (the “App”). By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the App.

1. License

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download and use the App on any Apple-branded device that you own or control, as permitted by the App Store Terms of Service. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, sell, sublicense, or distribute the App except as allowed by applicable law.

2. Subscriptions & billing

cuboo offers an optional premium plan, Cuboo Pro, which unlocks all routes, app blocking, soundscapes, the full travel log, and more. Cuboo Pro is available as:

• Monthly — auto-renewable subscription at $3.99 / month.
• Annual — auto-renewable subscription at $18.99 / year, including a 3-day free trial for new subscribers.
• Lifetime — a one-time purchase of $34.99 that unlocks Cuboo Pro without a recurring subscription (see “What ‘Lifetime’ means” below).

Prices are shown in the App and may vary by region and over time; the price displayed at the time of purchase applies.

What “Lifetime” means

“Lifetime” refers to the lifetime of the App — for as long as cuboo continues to make the App reasonably available — and not the lifetime of any individual purchaser. A Lifetime purchase is a one-time payment that removes the recurring subscription for your Apple Account; it is not a guarantee that the App, its online features, or any particular content will remain available forever. A Lifetime purchase covers the current App and its ongoing maintenance; a significant future version (for example, a “2.0”) or a separate companion app may be offered as a new paid app or a separate in-app purchase. Please also read “Service availability, updates & discontinuation” below.

Auto-renewal terms

For auto-renewable subscriptions: payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. Your subscription automatically renews for the same period unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period, at the price of the plan you selected.

Free trial

If a free trial is offered, any unused portion of the trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription. If you don’t cancel before the trial ends, your subscription begins and your Apple Account is charged.

Managing & canceling

You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your Apple Account settings (Settings → your name → Subscriptions) after purchase. Purchases and subscriptions are processed by Apple and are subject to Apple’s Media Services Terms and the standard Apple Licensed Application End User License Agreement. Refunds are handled by Apple in accordance with its policies.

3. Acceptable use

You agree to use the App only for lawful purposes and not to misuse it — including not attempting to disrupt the service, access it through unauthorized means, or use it to violate the rights of others.

4. Intellectual property

The App, including its design, artwork, stamps, text, and software, is owned by cuboo and protected by intellectual-property laws. These Terms don’t grant you any rights to our trademarks or content except the limited license to use the App described above.

5. Disclaimers

The App is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. cuboo is a focus and productivity tool and is not a medical device or a substitute for professional advice. We don’t guarantee that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that app-blocking will prevent every distraction.

6. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, cuboo will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data or profits, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the App. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

7. Service availability, updates & discontinuation

The App is provided on an ongoing basis but is not guaranteed to be available indefinitely. Some parts of the App rely on third-party services we do not control — including Apple’s App Store and sign-in, and our hosting and database providers — and on our continued enrollment in the Apple Developer Program. These services may change, increase in cost, or become unavailable, and our ability to operate the App depends on them.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, and subject to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have where you live:

• We may add, change, suspend, or remove features at any time, and we may stop publishing, updating, or operating the App entirely.
• Online features (such as account sign-in, cloud backup, and syncing across devices) depend on infrastructure we may not maintain indefinitely. The App’s core focus features are designed to run on your device, but use of the App may still depend on services that could end.
• Any purchase — including a Lifetime purchase — is for the App and its features as they exist at the time of purchase, and not for any guaranteed future feature, content, level of service, or period of availability.
• Where reasonably practical, we will aim to give advance notice before permanently discontinuing the App, and we may — at our discretion, where feasible — release a final update that lets existing users keep using the App’s on-device features without an account or internet connection.
• Purchases and any refunds are processed by Apple under Apple’s policies; cuboo does not separately process payments or issue refunds.

Discontinuing the App does not by itself entitle you to a refund, except as required by Apple’s policies or by applicable law.

8. Termination

These Terms apply until terminated. We may suspend or end your access if you breach them. You can end the agreement at any time by deleting the App. Sections that by their nature should survive (such as intellectual property, disclaimers, and liability) will survive termination.

9. Apple-specific terms

These Terms are between you and cuboo only, not with Apple. Apple is not responsible for the App or its content. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the App. To the extent the App fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple may refund the purchase price; Apple has no other warranty obligation. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you. You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo and are not on any U.S. Government restricted-parties list.

10. Governing law & changes

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in the developer’s place of establishment, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, and subject to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have where you live. We may update these Terms from time to time; we’ll update the “Last updated” date, and continued use of the App means you accept the revised Terms.
